**About the Facility**
Formed in 1998, Barwon Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing care at all stages of life and circumstance. Health services available through Barwon Health cover the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care. With the exception of neurosurgery and transplantation, virtually all other specialties are available through University Hospital.
**About the Role**
This Allied Health Assistant (AHA) role will:
1. Contribute to the care of Barwon Health clients through the delivery of person centred, evidence based services, in the designated clinical areas, as directed by, and under the supervision of, the treating Physiotherapist / Allied Health Professional (AHP);
2. Provide teaching, supervision and development of less experienced allied health assistants and allied health assistant students; and
3. Undertake a range of non-clinical duties that support the provision of community rehabilitation services.

**Selection Criteria**
Essential: Can you please list Barwon Health's values?

Essential: One of the following qualifications: (1) Certificate IV or higher qualification as an Allied Health Assistant or equivalent; (2) Bachelor degree or Post Graduate Masters in a relevant health science area; or (3) Undergraduate Physiotherapy Student having completed a minimum of 2 years
Essential: Eligible for Physiotherapy Assistant membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Essential: Previous experience working within a health care setting
Essential: Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use within Victoria Australia
Desirable: Previous experience leading clients with exercise programs
Essential: Knowledge and skills appropriate to level of experience as an allied health assistant
Essential: Strong communication, interpersonal and team work skills; Well-developed problem solving skills; and Effective time management and prioritisation skills
Essential: High level of personal resilience
Essential: Proficient in the use of information technology
