Experienced Veterinary Nurses Needed
Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) is currently looking for an experienced part-time Veterinary Nurse to join our Gold Coast Community Veterinary Clinic
We have a permanent part-time opportunity available for 28.5 hours per week over 3 days.
You'll be working with a team of highly skilled and passionate veterinary professionals under the banner of one of the most respected brands in animal welfare.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced clinic where you will gain excellent exposure across the entire veterinary practice.

Key Responsibilities
Consult Support: Support veterinarians with routine examinations and consultations
Organisation Pro: Prepare and implement surgery schedules
Client Support: Provide veterinary nursing care and grief support to clients
Nursing Support: Assist in radiography, surgical procedures, monitor patient anaesthesia, and post-operative procedures.
In-house and external pathology procedures.
Prepare medications as required
Inpatient Care: Nurse hospitalised animals, monitor clinical signs, and communicate with owners
Community Advocate: Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and empathy for community animal health and welfare issues
What are the minimum requirements for this position?
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or recognised equivalent
Minimum of 2+ years' vet nursing experience
Experience in a busy, fast-paced work environment
Desired previous experience in a shelter/rescue environment
