Location: Corangamite Regional Landfill (Naroghid) and transfer stations operating at Derrinallum, Port Campbell, Simpson, Skipton, and Timboon.

Salary$43.68 to $44.80 per hour, inclusive of an industry allowance.
About the position
Corangamite Shire Council is seeking a Transfer Station Attendant to provide efficient, courteous and responsive customer service across Council's landfill and transfer station sites.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Attending to customer enquiries.
* Operating the weighbridge and ensuring an orderly flow of traffic in the transfer station, providing directions for tipping, assisting motorists, and encouraging the deposit of recyclable materials in designated areas.
* Maintaining accurate timesheets, electronic systems/records, EFTPOS, and other documentation as required.
* Undertaking financial transactions, receipting user fees, issuing invoices, printing daily reports, reconciliation of days' takings and balancing the cash float for the Transfer Station Site.
* Maintaining security at the transfer station and ensuring no materials/items scavenging occurs on site.
* Ensuring work and public areas are maintained in a safe and presentable manner.
About you
* Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
* Demonstrated experience in customer service or administration, with experience in cash handling and EFTPOS highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment and effectively prioritise and manage tasks.
* Proficient in the use of computer applications, including the Microsoft Suite.
* A demonstrated commitment to our values of teamwork, trust and respect.
* Current Victorian Driver Licence, Working with Children Check and recent National Police Check, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
