Full Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Female Support Worker to assist a participant based in Strathfield, NSW. This role is suitable for someone who is patient, respectful, and has a good understanding of supporting individuals who are neurodivergent.
The position offers 2–3 shifts per week, with each shift lasting approximately 4–5 hours. The role focuses on supporting the participant both at home and in the community while building a supportive and positive relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the participant with community participation (e.g., outings, social activities, appointments).
- Assisting with basic domestic tasks such as light cleaning, tidying, and household organisation.
- Encouraging independence and supporting daily routines.
- Maintaining a respectful, safe, and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Female support worker only.
- Preferred age: 25–35 years old.
- Understanding or experience supporting neurodivergent individuals.
- Must be fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Must be comfortable around cats.
- Reliable, respectful, and patient in providing support.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid Certificate
- Proof of working rights in Australia
- Australian Driving Licence and own car
Shift Details
- Location: Strathfield, NSW
- Frequency: 2–3 shifts per week
- Shift Length: Approximately 4–5 hours per shift
