**The Opportunity**:
In this role you will work as a member of the technical services team to provide effective, reliable database support to the organisation. This will include assisting in the planning, build and testing of SQL databases in both on-prem and cloud environments.
As the Data Analyst, you will Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to automate data transformation workflows, addressing critical information needs and enhancing efficiency.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Manage and oversee SQL databases, ensuring smooth operation, high availability, and optimal performance.
- Utilize a strong skill set in working with SQL Server, including data manipulation, advanced SQL query building, spatial geometry management, and CRS (coordinate reference system) management in datasets.
- Demonstrate competency in developing data models spanning from conceptual to physical, crucial for implementing business information workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop effective solutions using on-prem and cloud technologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient database structures, queries, and procedures to support various business functions.
- Lead efforts to identify and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges.
- Develop and enforce data management standards, policies, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.
**What we are looking for**:
An enthusiastic Data Analyst with experience in managing large scale unstructured data in SQL Server.
You will be a skilled communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and technical teams. Experience with python, Sharepoint and ArcGIS enterprise systems is preferred but not essential.
