Job Title: Upstream Safety and Environment Advisor
This role involves working with a leading energy business operating oil and gas projects across Australia. You will be responsible for supporting upstream operations in Queensland, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide safety and environmental leadership to foster a positive and disciplined safety culture across all operational areas.
* Build strong partnerships with internal departments and contractors to support compliance and drive performance improvement.
* Deliver technical advice and implement safety and environmental management systems aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
* Support field teams through coaching, assurance, and proactive risk management to enable world-class health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) performance.
* Promote continuous improvement and learning through incident investigations, training, and sharing of best practices.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree or graduate diploma in Safety or Environmental Science (or equivalent).
* Proven experience supporting field operations or construction projects within the resources or energy sector.
* Strong understanding of Queensland safety and environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience with contractor management, risk assessments, investigations, and assurance processes.
