The successful applicant will work closely with the judiciary to deliver a range of services that support the justice system, enhancing their knowledge of the legal system and providing a rewarding experience in contributing to the delivery of justice in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of court registries;
* Offer frontline services to court users on a daily basis, over the phone, in person, or in court;
* In doing so, keep stakeholders of the courts at the heart of service delivery and respond to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner;
Additional duties may include unlocking and preparing courtrooms, administering oaths, maintaining security, and testing courtroom technology and equipment.
The applicant will also recognize and action any risks presented relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users by collating available information and escalating to senior colleagues.
Requirements:
* Adhere to established administrative processes, policies, and procedures related to court and registry operations;
* Support the Registrar in managing daily operations, including coordinating court proceedings and delivering services;
* Prepare and process administrative and financial documents, such as correspondence and court records;
* Cultivate professional relationships with key stakeholders, including judiciary members, government agencies, and the general public;
The successful applicant will be required to fulfill statutory duties as a Justice of the Peace, Clerk of the Court, and Registrar as needed, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and the integrity of court processes.
