IT and Cyber Security Support Officer Job Description
This is a key role within our Digital Solutions Team to strengthen our digital environment, support our people, and champion a culture of cyber awareness across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work through a detailed cyber security workplan developed by a specialist consultant, supporting stability and performance of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments, assisting with risk management activities, developing and delivering cyber security training and awareness initiatives for staff, working closely with the Digital Solutions team to maintain secure and reliable systems, and monitoring and responding to security incidents, alerts, and emerging vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the stability and performance of our Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
* Assisting with risk management activities, including compliance checks and security audits
* Helping develop and deliver cyber security training and awareness initiatives for staff
* Working closely with the Digital Solutions team to maintain secure and reliable systems
* Monitoring and responding to security incidents, alerts, and emerging vulnerabilities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Qualifications in ICT, Cyber Security or relevant professional experience, strong understanding of current cyber security practices, tools, and frameworks, practical problem-solving approach, clear communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
