Haan Health Medical Centre at Broadbeach is looking for a Part Time (3 to 4 days per week) experienced and passionate employee for a dual role as Enrolled Nurse/Medical Receptionist.
The business hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
We are a mixed billing surgery that incorporates General Practice & Pathology Services.

Work Authorization
Authorised to work in Australia (No Sponsorship will be provided for this position. Only applicants who have the right to work in Australia currently will be considered.)
Key Experience
Current experience in General Practice.
Fast & proficient in all keyboard & telephone skills.
Experienced user in Best Practice Software or similar.
Punctual, reliable and honest.
Ability to work independently.
Good team player.
Customer-focused with a commitment to patient care and support.
Strong attention to detail, maintaining confidentiality by adhering to the latest Hospital and Health Confidentiality and Privacy Legislation ACT regulations (QLD).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS for Enrolled Nurse
Qualifications and current experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
Current Registration with AHPRA.
Able to handle the treatment room all by yourself.
Provide proficient, evidence-based chronic disease management.
Plan and manage holistic patient care in consultation with medical staff while acting as a patient advocate.
Liaise with hospitals, community agencies and allied health to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation using Best Practice software, including recall/reminder systems, IT and information management.
Implement general practice management plans and team care arrangements in consultation with GPs and the multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
Ensure quality systems are in place and reviewed regularly.
Manage supplies and clinical resources within budget.
Ensure clinical governance and safe use of medicines following federal/state legislation.
Practice within the organisation's policy and nursing standards and codes.
Use health literacy principles to lead patient education, community health and outreach programs as well as health promotion initiatives.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS for Medical Receptionist
Greeting and attending to patients and visitors.
Answering phone and email communication.
Scheduling and managing appointments.
Processing billing and payments.
Insurance and claims management.
Office organisation and inventory management.
Medical documentation and communication.
Strong team player who contributes to a positive work culture.
Approachable, reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Excellent communication skills, professional presentation and positive can-do attitude.
Previous experience in administrative/reception roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Sensitive in your approach when dealing with patients.
Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is preferred.
