The Department Hospital in the Home is a busy acute service that provides in-patient hospital substituted care in the community setting. The service is made up of nursing, medical, and clerical personnel. Clerical duties include reception, outreach visit scheduling, accounting support, procurement, managing stock levels, equipment, and vehicle logging and maintenance, and more. Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, and CERNER and iPM competence are essential. Flexibility to assist in other areas of the Home Acute and Community Program is also important. The Role Hospital in the Home (HITH) is seeking expressions of interest from applicants with significant health-related clerical experience. The position covers 6 days per fortnight. The HITH clerk works an 8-hour shift, commencing at 7:30 am or Midday depending on service needs. This role is based largely at The Alfred campus but services both the Alfred and Sandringham sites. Occasionally, the role will provide ward clerk coverage from the Sandringham HITH site.
