Rasmussen State School is a vibrant and inclusive school located in Townsville, catering to approximately 350 students from Prep to Year 6. With 63% of the student population identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, the school embraces its strong culture heritage and fosters a deep sense of community. Many of the students come from multigenerational families who have maintained long-standing connections with the school. Staff are supported within and outside the classroom by a diverse leadership team.
Within the team are pedagogical coaches who support teachers with the implementation of the Australian Curriculum.
The school also offers mentors within the staff to support new members of the staffing team.
