Reporting Specialist | Claims & Duck Creek Migration

A major Australian organisation is undergoing a significant transition from its legacy claims platform to Duck Creek, supported by a modernised Snowflake data environment. Reporting accuracy and predictability are critical as the business migrates claims data and adapts existing reporting assets to the new ecosystem.
Your new role
You will join the Claims Reporting workstream to ensure existing reporting can function seamlessly with new Duck Creek data, rather than rebuilding from scratch. This includes understanding new data flows, validating migrated data, mapping legacy queries, resolving gaps, and supporting the delivery of more than 35 reports ahead of SIT, UAT and go‑live.
This is a hands‑on analytical role focused on data testing, Power BI enhancements, and clear communication of data issues to business and technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
* Adapt existing Power BI and Cecalles reports for new Duck Creek and Snowflake data structures.
* Validate and compare migrated Claims data against new Duck Creek datasets.
* Map queries from the legacy platform to new Snowflake/Duck Creek data streams.
* Identify, explain and escalate defects or data inconsistencies quickly.
* Work with Claims and Data teams to prepare and execute test cases.
* Raise defects and clarify data requirements for upcoming testing cycles.
* Provide insights into data gaps through Power BI-driven analysis.
* Support SIT and UAT following the report build.
* Contribute to predictable reporting delivery in a complex migration environment.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong hands-on Power BI capability (building, troubleshooting, re‑pointing data).
* Ability to read and navigate SQL queries.
* Experience in Insurance, ideally Claims reporting or operational reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail and structured defect management skills.
* Strong communication and ability to collaborate across business, engineering and testing teams.
* Comfortable working in environments with evolving data and customised systems.
