ACARA is seeking a Strategic Adviser to the CEO, a trusted leader to guide whole of organisation outcomes, represent the CEO with key stakeholders, and drive alignment across our Charter and Work Plan.
This is a unique opportunity to influence national policy, lead critical projects, and work directly with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team in a role where your strategic thinking, judgement and collaboration skills will shine. As Strategic Adviser to the CEO, you will represent the Chief Executive Officer with organisation outcomes that shape ACARA’s national influence.
About the position:
Provide strategic leadership in advancing the CEO’s forward agenda, supporting cross-organisational governance, alignment of priorities, and delivery of outcomes across business units
Manage critical business issues on behalf of the CEO, and identify opportunities for policy and process continual improvement, working collaboratively with business units to scope issues, facilitate early thinking, support the development of fit-for-purpose responses
Work closely with Communications, Engagement and Executive Services (CE&ES) and Corporate Services, to ensure the CEO is effectively engaged in the processes for ACARA’s Charter, Work Plan, Corporate Plan and Business Planning
Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO, responding to urgent, emerging issues and complex, sensitive matters, with sound judgment, agility, and discretion, while maintaining a focus on long-term strategic priorities.
To be successful, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrated ability to identify critical issues and provide high level, authoritative strategic and operational advice
Substantial experience in providing high level strategic and operational leadership
ACARA offers an attractive salary package dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate, commencing at $163,408 base per annum, as a full-time equivalent (plus superannuation).
