Our organization operates using a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their families. We are currently expanding our team in Katoomba and the Lower Blue Mountains region.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in making a positive impact in our community.
As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment. You will be responsible for:
* Assessing participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments.
* Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals tailored to each participant.
* Providing therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
* Supporting and advising on environmental adaptations, including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
* Recommending the provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
* A desire to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
* Ability to work independently.
* A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
