Solutions Architect (Port of Brisbane)
As a Solutions Architect for the Port of Brisbane (PBPL), you will be a key member of our Technology team, responsible for leading and shaping solution architecture across a diverse and complex environment.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and fit‐for‐purpose technology solutions. You will provide architectural leadership across enterprise systems, operational technology, and shared services, ensuring solutions align with PBPLs strategic direction, architectural standards, and governance frameworks.
This role goes beyond technical design. You will partner with the business to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and optimise systems, contributing to better business outcomes across multiple operational domains.
Responsibilities
Provide architectural leadership across enterprise and operational technology systems.
Translate business requirements into architectural designs and technology solutions.
Rationalise and optimise solution landscapes across complex, multi‐system environments.
Engage stakeholders, build trust, and influence at all levels of the organisation.
Support evaluating technology trends and provide strategic, enterprise‐level advice.
Collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect, ideally with a background in software development.
* Strong ability to translate business requirements into architectural designs and technology solutions.
* Proven experience working across complex, multi‐system environments.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Strong business acumen and understanding of how systems and processes support broader business outcomes.
* Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
* Experience evaluating technology trends and providing strategic, enterprise‐level advice.
* A collaborative mindset, willingness to engage across teams, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work permit or visa.
You will need to complete pre‐employment checks, including a national police check and pre‐employment medical.
As there is no public transport to our sites, you must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
