Cromarty Automation is seeking an experienced Automation Group Lead to coordinate the activities of our Automation Group in line with our company values and strategic direction. This is a leadership position focused on delivering great outcomes for our clients, driving continuous improvement, and supporting our passionate technical teams.
While automation engineering experience is an advantage, it is not essential. We're looking for a confident leader with a strong people focus, sound business acumen, and excellent communication skills.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Management:
* Guide and support a team of engineering professionals. Celebrate success, manage performance, and foster a positive, productive team culture.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships. Coordinate site visits, manage safety requirements, and explore additional business opportunities with existing clients.
* Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Services, Projects, Renewables, Cybersecurity, and HR to align team efforts with broader company goals.
Business & Operational Oversight:
* Allocate resources effectively, ensure compliance with internal processes, and oversee HSEQ responsibilities.
* Embrace change, contribute to business development, and work with the Sales team to uncover new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven leadership or team management experience
* Strong understanding of business operations and project delivery
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High level of customer service and relationship management
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement
Bonus (but not essential): Automation engineering or technical experience
