North and West Remote Health (NWRH) is currently seeking two Central Intake Support Officers to join our friendly and dedicated team in Townsville, QLD:
1 x Full-time position
1 x Part-time position (3 days per week)
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Team Leader, these positions play a key role in supporting the intake, triage, and scheduling of clients across NWRH services. It's a busy and rewarding administrative role where accuracy, efficiency, and empathy make a real difference in ensuring clients receive timely, high-quality care.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
* Acting as the first point of contact for all new and existing referrals
* Maintaining positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Conducting initial contact and needs identification for client referrals
* Accurately maintaining client records and databases in line with NWRH policies
* Screening and processing client information to ensure referrals progress efficiently
* Providing administrative support to the Central Intake Team, including scheduling, filing, and data entry tasks
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in an Allied Health, Medical, or clinical administration environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, organisation, and customer service.
You will also have:
* Strong data entry and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work independently
* A proactive and motivated approach to problem-solving and teamwork
Desirable skills:
* Experience with client management or data systems (e.g., Profile, Redicase, HPOS)
* Prior experience in a Not-for-Profit or healthcare organisation
