About the Role
The Construction Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery, commercial performance, safety, and client satisfaction of NCPT projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands post-tensioning, reads drawings confidently, manages people well, and takes ownership of outcomes and is sales and growth focused.
You'll be the key interface between clients, engineers, suppliers, and site teams, ensuring work is scoped correctly, priced accurately, delivered safely, and protected commercially.
You will report directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for builders and clients on live projects
* Manage communication with engineers on design, constructability, and methodology
* Measure PT, concrete, and reinforcement drawings accurately
* Prepare and review tenders and pricing
* Identify, price, and manage variations (with written approvals before work starts)
* Own project P&Ls and margin performance
* Review builder programs and manage delivery sequencing
* Lead and manage site crews, truck driver, and Operations Co-ordinator
* Oversee plant, equipment, and materials forecasting
* Own safety performance, site compliance, and incident management
* Contribute to our sales and recruitment culture.
This role is measured on outcomes, not activity - margin protection, variation recovery, safety, delivery, and leadership.
About You
You're a Construction Manager who:
* Has strong experience in post-tensioning or specialist concrete works
* Reads and interprets structural, reinforcement, and PT drawings confidently
* Understands commercial risk, margins, and cost control
* Communicates clearly with builders, engineers, and site teams
* Leads from the front and takes accountability
* Is organised, decisive, and commercially aware
* Sales and growth oriented
