The Role:
As a Line Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a department and team to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
* Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers.
* Be responsible for the store when the Store Manager or Deputy is absent.
* Ensure team members are fully trained and validated.
* Foster two-way communication and a culture of trust.
* Coach colleagues to meet daily priorities and customer needs.
* Review reports and systems to implement improvements.
* Drive a zero food waste culture, manage date codes, and prevent waste.
* Recruit passionate colleagues for the team.
* Understand and deliver cleaning standards.
* Manage stock control, warehouse layout, and routines.
* Root cause pricing errors, refunds, and label routines.
* Manage front-end operations to minimize queues.
* Recognize excellent service and provide feedback.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated track record in delivering excellent customer and colleague experiences.
* Adaptable and agile thinking.
* Achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to shape and influence at senior levels.
* Previous retail experience in a similar role (preferred).
