About The Team
In the Wind team of our Project Engineering & Due Diligence section, you will get to be involved in the inspection, review, feasibility and assessment of renewable energy projects. This role will see you working alongside other wind engineering specialists, and other teams within the Energy Systems landscape, such as the Solar, Civil, and Energy Storage Teams, to provide technical consulting services throughout the development, financing, procurement and construction phases of large-scale wind farms, solar farms, battery energy storage systems and hybrid renewable energy projects.
We help our customers achieve their project goals, by using our technical skills to conduct high-quality analyses, evaluaterisks, and provide robust answers to difficult questions. We're predominantly engineers with a knack for skillfully using our tools, processes, knowledge and experience get the answers we need.

About The Role
Here are some of the things we do. It would be great if you already have experience with some of these tasks, but if not, we are happy to help you develop your skillset:
* Technical due diligence of pre-construction through to operational wind farms
* Providing assurance on project viability through pre-feasibility and red-flag assessments
* Developing technical specifications & providing assistance to clients for all aspects of wind farm development and construction
* Undertake life extension assessments of operational wind farms
* Developing, reviewing and executing Lenders and Independent Engineer scopes of work
* Getting out on site and undertaking inspection services for wind farms
* Conducting greenfield site visits to appraise the characteristics of potential development sites
* Review of feasibility studies for wind farms
* Failure investigations (including root cause analysis) of wind farm components
* Assisting clients with procurement, including contract negotiation and tendering.
As Well As The Technical Elements Of Our Work, We Are Continually Engaging With Various Customers And Stakeholders, Including Developers, Investors, Financiers, Planning Authorities And Others. Some Of The Other Important Non-technical Parts Of Our Work Include:

* Developing compelling proposals that explain how our services can meet customer needs

What Is Required
The ideal candidate will have:
* Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree in wind or renewable energy or other relevant discipline (i.e. mechanical, civil, electrical engineering with relevant professional experience)
* At least 3 years of professional experience
Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required For The Position Are:
* Experience in the wind industry
* Project management skills and experience
* Good organization and time management skills
* Adaptability, and able to cope with a wide variety of tasks
* Ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a team environment
* Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Experience in, or familiarity with, any of the following would be great, but is not essential:
* Wind farm, solar farm or battery energy storage system design and/or construction
* Technical due diligence of wind farms, solar farms or battery energy storage systems for acquisition or project financing
* Providing Owners Engineering and Lenders Engineering services for wind projects
* Experience with building and maintaining professional relationships with customers
* Experience in developing proposals for work, including budgets, appropriate contractual terms, and undertaking negotiations on scope and price with customers.
Physical Abilities:
* Normal office environment, involving regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching.
* Some domestic and international travel to other company office locations, site locations, client offices and conferences.
* Occasional work outdoors including site visits, travelling by car up to six hours and walking on uneven terrain may be required.
The role will involve on the job training as well as other training internally or externally. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation. Support, mentoring and training, as appropriate, will be provided by senior team members.
Sometimes our site inspections require climbing wind turbines. Although not mandatory for this role, if it is something you would be open to doing, note that reasonable physical fitness is required, and you should be comfortable working at heights.
