Position overview
The Division of Student Administration and Academic Services (DSAAS) is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio. DSAAS is responsible for the administrative support of students through the student lifecycle from when an offer is made to the completion of their studies and graduation. Activities of the Division includes admissions, general student enquiries, enrolment, class timetabling, program management, financial transactions, scholarship management, examination management, legislative compliance in relation to students and the curriculum management. The Division also provides advice for appeals, grievance, academic misconduct and discipline processes.

The Systems Support Officer as part of the Student Business Systems Office is responsible for a wide variety of tasks that support core student management, timetabling, student handbook, curriculum management and related student systems of the University. The Student Business Systems team undertakes analysis, design, development, testing, support and implementation of business processes and IT solutions for student systems as well as providing ongoing functional application support and systems support. Working primarily in support and helpdesk operations, you will provide functional application support to end users, systems support and maintenance for core student systems of the University.

The successful applicant will have:

* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand complex systems and processes
* Strong problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and interpret nontechnical and technical information
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
