**About the Role**:
The Manual Software Testers work closely with the business analysts and developers to deliver high quality solutions that meet the standards set by the delivery team for an Australian Government Organisation.
This position is a 3 months contract with the possibility of a 6-12 month extension and is based in Canberra with working from home flexibility.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Writing some complex SQL queries and testing message queues;
- Working closely with the business analysts and developers to deliver high quality solutions that meet the standards set by the delivery team;
- Contributing to the technical design of solutions using a breadth of knowledge and experience;
- Being a valued member of a multi-disciplinary agile delivery team, and actively participating in daily and weekly agile ceremonies.
**Key Skills**:
- Experience across all aspects of the software testing lifecycle with respect to manual testing, including: - deriving test cases through the analysis of business requirements, - designing and executing of API and CRM cases;
- a solid understanding of defect management;
- preparing Test Plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing activities.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL and working experience in SQL Server 2014 and later; Working experience in testing message queues.
- Excellent written, oral and facilitation skills, enabling the development of strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment.
- Ability to work effectively within/manage an Agile test team, as well as your ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Include details of your experience in leading and mentoring staff. Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolset**.**:
