Waves Carwash is a growing multi-site car wash business providing professional vehicle cleaning services across multiple locations. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced accountant to provide group-level financial reporting, reconciliation, and operational financial analysis to support business operations across all sites.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple sites, including management reports to support operational and financial decision-making.
* Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate classification and reconciliation of financial transactions.
* Reconcile intercompany transactions, including internal loans, allocation of shared costs, and payroll expenses, ensuring accurate group-level reporting.
* Conduct cost analysis and profitability reporting, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
* Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, analyse variances, and provide financial insights to management.
* Prepare, review, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensuring accurate GST reporting and compliance with Australian taxation legislation.
* Assist with preparation of year-end accounts and supporting schedules for external accountants and auditors.
* Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
* Process weekly payroll for full-time, part-time, and casual employees, ensuring compliance with taxation, superannuation, and employment obligations.
* Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with Australian accounting standards and internal policies.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
* Relevant experience in an accounting role, preferably within a multi-site or service-based business.
* Strong ability to prepare and analyse financial reports and perform account reconciliations.
* Practical experience with GST and BAS preparation and lodgement.
* Payroll experience with a sound understanding of Australian taxation and superannuation obligations.
* Knowledge of Australian accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
* Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
