Job Title: Drilling Operations Supervisor

* Operational Leadership: Oversee drilling activities in accordance with the plan, as directed by senior management.
* Safety Management: Manage all safety aspects of drilling operations and ensure a safe work environment is maintained using established business processes and tools.
* Resource Allocation: Manage shift resources and manning levels to ensure sufficient quantity and quality of drilled stock is safely achieved.
* Quality Control: Ensure drill & blast patterns are kept to a high standard and all associated equipment is maintained in a safe condition.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality outputs are achieved at all times.
* Training and Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to direct reports.
* Performance Improvement: Drive drilling techniques and procedures that promote zero harm and improve performance and cost efficiencies.
* Work Quality Assurance: Ensure that work carried out by drillers and drill technicians is of suitable standard.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A valid C Class Manual Driver's Licence and relevant tickets are essential.
* Previous supervisory experience and the ability to read and understand mine plans are necessary.
* Knowledge of the WHS Act and WHS (Mines) Regulations, along with a strong commitment to safety, is required.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels are essential.
* Understanding of/exposure to fleet management systems is desirable.
* Previous experience with incident investigation and/or risk assessment processes will be highly regarded.
