As the business continues to grow, CBR Mechanical Services is looking to expand its team. On behalf of the company, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Worker to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
•Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components specifically designed for HVAC systems, ensuring precision and durability in every project.
•Accurately measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape metal sheets using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
•Install ductwork and sheet metal structures in both residential and commercial settings, expertly fitting and joining components using advanced joinery techniques.
•Finish and refine products by smoothing edges, polishing surfaces, and ensuring each installation maintains a clean, professional appearance.
•Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to execute installations with accuracy and compliance.
•Guarantee that all work aligns with industry standards and the company's quality benchmarks, delivering results that exceed client expectations.
•Conduct routine maintenance and repair work on existing systems to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
•Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and to the highest standard, fostering a supportive and productive team environment.
•Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while ensuring a tidy, well-organized, and hazard-free work area at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Certificate III in Fabrication Trade or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
•Proficient in designing and manufacturing sheet metal products, including ducts, tubes, and hoses
•Strong ability to interpret blueprints and a solid understanding of sheet metal assembly technologies
•Skilled in the use of machine tools and workbench tools
•Excellent physical strength and endurance for demanding tasks
•At least 1 year of proven work experience within the ductwork industry
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $73,000 - $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
