Job Title: Business Development Representative
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing new business opportunities to form part of a portfolio of Accounts. They will have an excellent understanding of the market place, customer requirements and work in partnership with relevant internal and external teams to build growth, retention and develop long term relationships and solutions for customers.
Main Duties:
* Territory sales role selling all Scolmore Ltd product offers into distributors within that area (Push/Pull role) - demand generation with contractors/end users.
* Sales out activity by way of pro-active support to local contractors aligned to our distributors (joint sales calls/trade counter events/local ECA branch meetings/product training etc).
* Proactively build client relationships and maintain a strong pipeline.
* Present and gain agreement from the customer ensuring they see our approach as added value, supporting both customer and commercial requirements.
* Work proactively with your portfolio, using reports and information to keep the customer up to date, ensuring you get the most from your visits and calls, maintaining CRM records at all times.
* Working simultaneously with your team and internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
* A proven sales professional operating at the minimum of high value account level.
* Focussed on identifying opportunities with both existing and new accounts and strategically developing those opportunities within set parameters of Scolmore's Commercial trading philosophy.
* Knowledge of the marketplaces or experience of similar markets.
* Highly developed selling skills with excellent communication both F2F and written, with interpersonal skills.
* High levels of energy, commitment and tenacity with a strong understanding of the sales process and large accounts processes and buying behaviours.
* Computer literate with ability to use word/excel/PowerPoint.
* Ability to work on own, planning diary and working autonomously within defined role.
* A full and preferably clean driving licence is required for this role.
