VCE English Teacher – Permanent Full-Time
Opportunity for Head of English appointment for the right candidate
Are you a passionate English teacher with VCE experience, eager to inspire and develop students in a supportive school environment? Our client, a respected faith-based conservative school, is seeking a dedicated VCE English Teacher to join their boys high school faculty.
About the Role
* Permanent full-time position (open to part-time by negotiation).
* Teach VCE English with small class sizes (typically 7–17 students).
* Approximately 20 lessons per week while receiving full-time pay.
* Hours designed to avoid peak traffic: start around 9:30/10am, with teaching blocks through to 5:15pm.
* Early finish on Fridays (6-hour day).
* Potential leadership opportunity for one role – Head of English.
What We're Looking For
* Current VIT registration.
* Proven experience teaching VCE English.
* Evidence of student development and achievement.
* Ambitious, diligent, and knowledgeable educator who takes pride in their craft.
* Applicants do not need to come from a faith-based school background.
* No requirement to be highly I.T. savvy – the school has a conservative approach to technology. This may particularly appeal to mature teachers who love teaching but prefer a traditional classroom environment.
