**About the Organisation**:
Join a Federal Government Department in one of their key program areas with a focus on assessment, procurement, and contract management.
**About the Role**:
The Project Management Office (PMO) function of this division requires a strategic review and a defined operational direction to move forward. The team is seeking an experienced project manager to lead the development of revised workflow management, financial, procurement, and contract management PMO system.
**Key duties will include**:
- Lead the development and workflow management for the PMO function
- Lead project management, planning, and delivery to enable the department to deliver a large influx of assessments
- Provide strategic oversight of financial processes, procurement, and contract management.
- Work in close collaboration with high-level stakeholders, and teams across the Department cooperatively with a flexible and consultative approach
- Engage in and contribute to leadership activities
**Key skills and previous experience**:
- Proven experience working in a Federal Government PMO function, ideally working on a review and build project
- Those with project management qualifications are highly desirable (Agile, Prince2)
- Familiar with communicating with internal and external stakeholders at the executive level
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen and will be required to obtain an Australian Police Check dated within 3 months of start date
