About the Position
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, the Finance Business Partner will play a key role in the team by ensuring that their dedicated business units have sufficient support and expertise to manage their overall budget.
In this role, you will provide advice, guidance, insight and recommendations to your stakeholders and will be considered a trusted advisor.
The Finance Business Partner will adopt a customer-centric approach to supporting their business areas by developing a comprehensive understanding of each of the business's core operations, priorities, and performance metrics.
Duties
Undertake financial analysis at Institute, Business Group and Business Area levels and provide advice and recommendations to the Management Accountant, Finance General Manager and Chief Finance Officer.
Meet with directors and managers to provide advice on budget strategies to reduce expenditure or re-allocate costs correctly.
Assist with designing, developing and maintaining the Institute's costing models.
Design financial models that support commercial business operations.
Review and analyse the validity of budget assumptions and budgets completed by relevant staff during budget entry.
Collaborate with the Management Accountant, General Manager Financial Planning and Analytics and Chief Finance Officer to design, develop and implement the annual budget process and/or business analysis.
Ensure practices meet compliance requirements in area of accountability.
About You
Considered an established business partner.
Experienced at building relationships.
High-level financial analysis, modelling and business reporting skills.
Excellent and clear communication skills.
Experience gained from education or an aligned industry is preferred.
