We are a dynamic, Melbourne-based independent book publishing company looking for our next superstar. We are seeking an experienced writer, editor, and author coach with exceptional communication skills and a strong understanding of non-fiction publishing.
This is a rewarding role for someone who loves long-form writing and is passionate about supporting authors through every stage of their publishing journey.
About You
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
* Has proven experience writing and editing long-form content
* Brings the maturity and confidence to guide, mentor, and coach multiple authors
* Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Can work both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team
* Can confidently assess manuscript structure and provide constructive editorial feedback
* Has working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style and the Australian Style Guide
* Is a positive and passionate team member who loves to work hard and have fun
* An interest in personal development, entrepreneurship, and health and wellbeing is highly regarded.
Key Requirements
* Proven writing and editing experience
* High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage deadlines effectively
* Capacity to work across multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to adapt writing style to suit different authors and target audiences
* Based in Melbourne or metropolitan Victoria
