A leading manufacturer of professional grade potting mix, fertilizers and wetting agents are recruiting for Process workers with a Forklift License to join their team. As a market leader they require hard working, reliable and friendly staff to join them on their journey.
Key Purpose:
The role of the Process workers with a Forklift License is to assist in the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing process and to perform a variety of tasks, as required. Tasks could be performed in any of the following areas:
* Forklift Operation
* Process work including packing/Quality Assurance
* General duties and cleaning
The Process worker is expected to work in an accurate, safe and efficient manner in order to maintain the highest possible quality standards and meet production KPI’s. Responsible for the safe utilization of equipment and to ensure stock is manufactured correctly, clean and in a presentable manner.
Key Activities:
* To ensure that all equipment used in the area is maintained correctly and operated in a safe manner.
* Report required maintenance to the Site Supervisor.
* To ensure that the relevant paperwork accompanies production, deliveries and dispatched products.
* Perform tasks that will ensure bulk handling of raw materials and finished goods is in accordance with your daily KPI's
* Ensure no cross contamination whilst operating the loader
Daily Tasks:
* To ensure low stock products are reported to the Leading Hand and Site Supervisor.
* To ensure fertiliser crates are stacked correctly and labelled etc. at all times.
* To ensure that all part pallets are in the correct position at the end of shift.
* Fill in Forklift Vehicle report at beginning of shift.
* Check the Forklift for oil and water levels each morning prior to the start of shift.
* Fill Fuel tank with Diesel when required.
* Forklift operations as required by Production and/or Logistics.
* Fill in Front End Loader Vehicle report at beginning of shift.
* Check the Loader for oil and water levels each morning prior to the start of shift.
* Fill Fuel tank with Diesel when required.
* Ensure workstation areas are clean at the end of shift.
* Outside areas to be clean of plastic and rubbish.
* Doorways cleared.
* Unwrap pallets of Coir peat and coir chip for expansion.
* De-bail Peat moss products for production when required.
* Remove all waste plastic and cardboard from around the site.
* Use of Microsoft including Excell, Word and Outlook.Must have forklift license.
This role will start off on a 3 month trial, as a casual, working 38 hours per week, after 3 month trial is completed, the role will turn into a full time position.
