About The Role
You will provide practical support to a wide range of trades—including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air conditioning and building. You'll help keep our facilities safe, functional and operating smoothly by completing minor tasks, general labouring and non‐trade activities. This is a permanent full‐time position suited to someone who enjoys hands‐on work, variety, and contributing to essential health services across our region.
Responsibilities
* Perform general labouring duties such as site preparation, equipment movement, cleaning, materials handling and basic maintenance tasks.
* Support planned preventative maintenance activities and complete required documentation, worksheets, inspections and stock takes.

Requirements
* Licence to Operate Vehicle: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
* Construction Safety White Card: Work Health and Safety Regulation Part 6.5 a person working in construction must have completed a general construction induction training.
* Completed a Production/Engineering Certificate 1 or equivalent.
* Aged Care Pre‐Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position may work in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
* Pre‐employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
