12 month contract - Adhoc Travel - Flexible WFH Seeking a commercially astute professional to be responsible for a key project Collaborative working environment
We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Contract Lead to support the delivery of a major sustaining capital project.
This role is suited to a commercially astute individual with strong intrapersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, ideally with a background in large construction or mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the contracting and sourcing strategy for the assigned project
- Manage the full lifecycle of contractor engagement from procurement through to contract close-out
- Handle contract administration including compliance, claims (EOTs and variations), and dispute resolution
- Build and maintain positive, values-driven relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Influence and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and project controls to drive commercially sound decisions
- Contribute to broader procurement team objectives by leveraging opportunities and sharing insights across the group
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, Law or Engineering or relevant industry
- Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement and contracts on large-scale construction or major mining projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractor relationships to ensure successful project outcomes
- Sound knowledge of claims management, particularly EOTs and variations
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to work independently while also contributing within a wider team
- Capability to influence stakeholders and contribute commercial value in a technically driven environment
This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
