Pohlmans Nursery is a family-owned and operated production nursery with a proud history spanning 50 years. We are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Retail Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and knowledgeable team.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a plant lover or gardening enthusiast who enjoys working outdoors and helping customers choose the right plants for their gardens.
About the Role
* Permanent part-time position, 4 days per week
* Includes a mix of weekday and regular weekend work
* Customer-facing retail role within a production nursery
* Outdoor, physical work in all weather conditions
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting customers with plant selection and providing advice on plant care
* Sharing knowledge of plant varieties, growing conditions, and garden suitability
* General retail nursery duties, including presentation and upkeep of plants
* Manual handling and physical work as part of daily tasks
About You
* A genuine interest in plants and gardening, with sound knowledge of plant varieties
* Comfortable providing friendly, helpful customer service
* Previous nursery, horticulture, or retail customer service experience is highly desirable
* Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all conditions
* Reliable, positive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
