Role Summary
As a
BIM Designer | Fire Protection & Hydraulics
, you will be responsible for developing and managing high-quality BIM models and documentation for fire and hydraulic systems across a variety of building typologies. Working closely with project and discipline leads, your work will support coordinated and innovative design solutions that meet both client and regulatory requirements. You will also mentor junior staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows across the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop accurate and efficient BIM models and documentation for Fire Protection and Hydraulic services using Revit
* Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure coordinated building services design
* Contribute to the enhancement of BIM standards and processes within the Adelaide office
* Assist in the training and development of junior team members and BIM cadets
* Support quality assurance processes and maintain up-to-date project documentation
* Engage in clash detection and resolution workflows with other disciplines
What We're Looking For
* 6-8 years
of experience as a BIM Designer in Fire Protection and Hydraulic services within a building services consultancy
* High proficiency in
Revit
and
AutoCAD
, with an understanding of BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks
* Strong knowledge of
Australian Standards
, building codes, and NCC compliance for hydraulic and fire systems
* Excellent communication and documentation skills for internal and client-facing coordination
* A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
