About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Brisbane's Southwest district. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering one of the area's most complex projects, a $170 million rail infrastructure project connecting key local amenities.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* Support the project team in preparing and submitting accurate information on time and within indicated conditions.
* Invoice clients once payment certificates are received.
* Prepare and negotiate project final accounts.
* Prepare commercial documentation such as extension of time claims and assist with Quality Assurance documents.
* Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress.
* Work closely with the project team to prepare accurate cost and revenue forecasts and monthly reports.
* Manage subcontractor packages and payments including monthly claims, payment certificates, variations, and final accounts.
* Responsible for project cash flows, including accountability for cash collection from clients.
* Oversee all project costs/expenditure & revenue.
* Identify and record commercial risks and opportunities.
* Ensure adherence to business commercial processes at project level.
Requirements
We require:
* A Bachelor's Degree and/or post graduate qualification.
* Experience using Procore is advantageous.
* Prior experience within the Rail, Civil or Construction sector.
* Advanced computer skills.
* Excellent communication skills dealing with a variety of different stakeholders.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* The ability to consistently produce accurate information at a fast pace.
* Well-honed and able to manage competing deadlines.
* The ability to drive improvements and efficiencies through innovation and self-initiative.
* The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.
