Senior Analyst Insurance & Financial Risk

As a Senior Analyst within our Group Risk team, you'll report to the Senior Manager, Financial and Insurance Risk. Your goal is to help embed the Insurance and Financial Risk Management Frameworks and provide insights and analysis of risk data relating to insurance and financial risk matters. You'll collaborate across business functions including Product Design, Underwriting, Pricing, Claims Management, and Finance to develop and implement risk management strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Embedding and maintaining the Insurance and Financial Risk Management Frameworks and related policies.
Conducting analysis and reporting on insurance and financial risk data.
Supporting scenario and stress testing activities.
Contributing to key regulatory requirements including the ICAAP, Risk Appetite Statements, and Risk Management Strategy.
Participating in control testing and second line oversight activities.
Monitoring of key risk indicators and risk reporting.
What experience you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
At least 3 years' experience in general insurance, financial services, or risk management.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (finance, risk, actuarial science).
High proficiency in Microsoft/Google product suite, Power BI, and risk management systems.
Introductory knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven risk reporting.
