About The Position
One of our operating companies, Evolve Technologies, is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their team in Southport, Queensland.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, takes initiative and proactively improves systems before issues arise.You will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining and optimising IT infrastructure for our clients while ensuring reliability, performance and security.
Responsibilities
Systems & Infrastructure Management
Manage network infrastructure across both physical and virtual environmentsAdminister and maintain server and storage systemsImplement and manage server virtualisation environmentsDesign and deploy multi-site infrastructure environmentsConfigure and manage Microsoft Server environments, including Exchange and Office 365
Network Administration
Deploy and manage network infrastructure including switches, routers and access pointsManage network technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and subnettingConfigure and support VLAN, WLAN and WAN environmentsMonitor and maintain network security and integrity
Troubleshooting
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support across multiple client environmentsTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across server and network environmentsDeliver both remote and on-site technical support
Monitoring, Security & Optimisation
Proactively monitor systems and infrastructure to ensure reliability and performanceImplement and maintain data and network security measuresEnsure consistent performance, uptime and system integrity
Projects & Collaboration
Assist with scoping and managing IT infrastructure projectsProvide technical advice and leadership on complex system and network issuesMaintain relationships with external vendors and partners
Skills Required
3-5 years’ experience in a Systems Administration or similar roleExperience working within a Managed Service Provider (desirable)Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisation and time management abilities
