Overview
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll help lead the delivery of a once-in-a-generation water reclamation plant upgrade from procurement through to successful contract award and beyond. You’ll oversee safety, budget, risk, and quality while driving progress across EOI, ECI and RFT stages, ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget and within scope. With strong leadership and stakeholder engagement, you’ll guide internal and external teams, resolve challenges, and champion best practice to deliver critical infrastructure for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic project leadership by coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, integrating internal and external resources, and applying structured project management methodologies to achieve agreed objectives.
- Oversee project delivery performance by managing scope, schedule, budgets, and risk registers, while effectively resolving contractual claims and program issues in line with commercial and legal obligations.
- Ensure a safe working environment by embedding best-practice health, safety and environmental systems across all project phases, while implementing robust quality assurance frameworks to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through clear communication, consultation and negotiation, while driving continuous improvement and optimisation of project delivery processes.
- Help to lead procurement processes (EOI, ECI, RFT) to ensure compliance, value-for-money, and successful contract awards.
About you
- A tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in the field of Project Management.
- Experience in the management of wastewater systems and recycled water systems preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams in the completion of successful projects.
Salary and conditions
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $139,851 Plus Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
