What you'll be doing
* Preparation and review of financial statements, income tax returns, and compliance obligations across SME clients
* Managing company, trust and individual taxation and statutory lodgment requirements
* Reviewing work completed by junior and offshore team members, providing coaching and guidance
* Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted day-to-day advisor
* Working closely with leadership across workflow management, client outcomes and team development
* Supporting a positive, collaborative and growth-focused team culture
About You
You are someone who enjoys public practice/business advisory and wants to continue building your career within a firm where you can genuinely see a future.
You'll bring:
* A minimum of 5 – 7 years' experience in an Australian public practice / business advisory role (this is a must-have – experience with Australia's unique legislation is essential – the client will not compromise on this point!)
* Strong technical capability across tax compliance, financial statements and regulatory lodgmentsConfidence reviewing work and coaching junior team members & offshore support teams
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships at all levels
* A proactive and team-oriented approach
Highly Regarded
While not essential, experience in the below would be highly regarded:
* SMSF accounting and compliance
* Audit exposure or experience
* CA or CPA commenced or nearing completion – but not essential!
