We are seeking a Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Representative to join our team remotely in the Brisbane region. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out sales activities to achieve sales targets in your designated region or zone. Additionally, you will assist with related long-term business plan activities.
This position requires regular intrastate/interstate travel (approximately 5 days per month) and may involve occasional overseas travel.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow the customer base on assigned products and territories
* Conduct prospecting sales visits and regular follow-ups to establish rapport and customer relationships
* Offer commercial and technical proposals or quotations based on customer requirements and specifications
* Prepare for sales, deliver presentations, convert prospects to customers, and provide after-sales service
* Gather regional market and competitor information (technical, prices, and product development) to meet pre-determined targets
* Develop and execute market growth strategies for assigned segments and territories
* Collaborate with other departments and regional offices to maximize growth and orders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold a university degree in electronics/engineering or relevant trade qualifications
* Have 2+ years of sales experience in power generation, energy management, automation control, or switchboard industries (advantageous)
* Be self-motivated, independent, and sales-driven to develop and increase revenue
* Excel at learning and upgrading technical knowledge
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
* Flexible to adapt to changing business needs
* Possess a valid Australian driver's license and the right to work in Australia
