- Temporary Full‐time until April 2026 with possibility to convert to ongoing in future.
- Location: Parramatta (flexible working arrangements available).
- Salary ranges from $145,378 – $168,130 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
About the role
The Data & Analytics Test Manager (internally titled Test Manager) is responsible for the testing of data products under development, providing expert process‐improvement advice to reduce development defects and ensuring that risks associated with implementing new systems are accurately quantified and addressed. This hands‐on management role requires leading a team while delivering work, including the execution of data and analytics test cases. The role primarily works across the Microsoft suite of data and analytics tools—Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Purview, and Profisee MDM.
About you
- Experience in designing and executing test strategies, plans and test cases for large‐scale complex datalake / data warehousing and associated reporting environments.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to align testing activities with project objectives.
- Experience developing test strategies to reduce risks impacting the quality, accuracy and reliability of data products.
- Capable of providing leadership, advice, guidance and support to enhance knowledge, capabilities and professional development.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG, ensuring quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential Requirements of the Role
- Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check).
