Overview

Adecco DFR are looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Security Officer. You will be responsible for the oversight of security arrangements, including governance, information, personnel, and physical security. The role will also involve liaising with Defence personnel and a large number Adecco staff who are based across multiple locations throughout Australia.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the entire security clearance process for new starters across Adecco and all subcontractors for all personnel requiring clearance to perform their role within DFR.
- Liaise with AGSVA on a regular basis to obtain updates on clearances, communicating effectively and clearly.
- Ensure any individual applying for a clearance is aware of the requirements in their application, the timeframe they have to process their application and the points of contact for escalation/support.
- Act as a point of contact for all security related concerns, questions and escalations from the business in relation to physical and personnel security.
- Support the Australia wide, locally based Security Officers, ensuring consistent approach to security.
- Ensure compliance to security processes, policies and requirements, staying up to date on any changes.
- Maintain open communication with AGSVA to enable streamlined and efficient security clearance process.
- Drive and champion processes to maintain the physical security of DFR, working closely with the Facilities team to execute and maintain.
- Work closely with the HR team across Adecco and subcontractors to maintain accurate records and security sponsorship of personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of security data, including personnel sponsored by Adecco for their security clearance, and the expiry of clearances.
- Provide reports on security as requested and required.
- Maintain security clearance level required to perform role of Security Officer.
- Develop, manage and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the DFR Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Candidate\'s Profile

To be considered, you will have:

- A background or understanding of defence/ defence industry is desirable.
- Previous experience in a Security Officer role
- Understanding of AGSVA Security Requirements
- Previous experience in the creation and maintenance of Government documentation
- High level of attention to detail
- High level of organisation and time management skills

To be eligible to apply you must be an Australian citizen as candidates will need to hold an active AGSVA Security Clearance of an NV1 (desired) or Baseline (essential) for this role.
