Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and experience working on large-scale mining projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and construct tailings residue and waste storage facilities, water management structures, and other associated infrastructure for the Mining and Energy Resources Sector.
* Plan, coordinate, supervise, interpret, and report on field investigation programs, including desktop reviews, field mapping, test pitting, drilling, sampling, and testing.
* Perform analysis and design of mine waste management facilities using software packages such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, MUK3D, AutoCAD, etc., and in-house analytical tools.
* Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications, presentations, and bills of quantities using MS Office software and AutoCAD.
* Conduct monitoring and supervision of bulk earthworks construction for quality assurance and provide on-the-ground design advice to clients and contractors.
* Support project management and client management duties for projects as required.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the mining or related industries.
* Registration as a Professional Engineer.
