The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional Planning and Lands Administration Officer. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
As the Administration Assistant you will:
* Be the first point of contact for all customers internal and external.
* Provide strong administration, research and assistance to the current Administration Officer and Statutory Planning and Lands Team.
* Ensure the provision of information and response to queries is undertaken in an accurate and timely manner.
* Support and assist in the development and delivery of best practice processes ensuring consistent monitoring and maintaining compliance and transparency.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Office Administration, Business Studies, Computer (data input and document control) Studies or similar is desirable.
* Hold a current, unrestricted "C-A" (manual) or "C-B" (automatic) class national driver's licence.
Experience
* Minimum of 12 months previous experience in an administrative support role.
* Previous administrative experience in a Local Government context is desirable.
Skills
* Previous administration experience in a similar building or planning administration role is desirable.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Outlook, Excel and Word.
* Very strong customer service skills.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* Problem solving abilities.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Team player.
* Strong literacy skills and the ability to use high levels of initiative.
* Adaptability and a strong grasp of IT systems and record keeping requirements.
