A Social Visits Volunteer who can make a meaningful difference - One visit at a time!
Are you someone who enjoys a gentle walk? How about being a walking buddy for an older person? We’re looking for a kind‑hearted volunteer to visit a thoughtful elderly lady who’s feeling a bit lonely and would like to meet a buddy to visit her for a walk. Your time and company could make a world of difference. A friendly visit, a shared story, or a chat over a cuppa could truly lift her spirits.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

- Time Required : We’d be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
- Training : Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator. We offer an extensive online and face‑to‑face training programme so you will be well equipped as a volunteer. Optional - First Aid course.
