The Role
Are you ready to make your mark in the logistics sector? We seek a Business Development Manager - Air focusing on Operations, to manage and grow Airfreight Import and Export customers. You will enjoy autonomy within a team environment, applying your sales expertise with support to achieve your goals.
Role Highlights
* Drive and manage sales opportunities for Airfreight, especially in the perishable market
* Collaborate with Product Management to strategize and support existing customer relationships and new account growth
* Identify sales pipelines and support marketing campaigns
* Manage initiatives on new sales contacts with marketing & sales teams
* Handle operational tasks for new customers, including security clearances, Dangerous Goods Declarations, invoicing, quotes, and ensuring cargo flights as booked
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 4+ years of freight forwarding experience with exposure to sales/business development in air freight or logistics. Experience with perishables like seafood, flowers, meat, and poultry, handling import/export cargo, is preferred. You should have excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
