About the Role
As a Partnership Lead at Curtin University in the School of Education, you will build and nurture meaningful relationships with schools, early learning centres and key stakeholders to support the professional experiences of future teachers and early childhood educators. High‐quality professional experience placements are essential in initial teacher education (ITE) and for preparing the next generation of educators. This role ensures ITE students are well supported before, during and after quality professional experience placements, creating sustainable and impactful processes. You will work with internal and external stakeholders across the School, Faculty and the University to establish or enhance placement related communications, processes and systems that ensure efficiency, quality and a student‐focused experience aligned with University and professional standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the development of the teaching and early childhood workforce while helping Curtin University deliver exceptional, hands‐on professional learning experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Build meaningful partnerships by understanding the needs of schools and early learning centres, exploring collaboration opportunities, and developing agreements that deliver real value and support student learning.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with partners, academic teams, fieldwork staff, and students to ensure smooth, high‐quality placements.
* Support excellent learning outcomes by ensuring placements meet discipline‐specific requirements, Curtin policies, accreditation standards and legislative requirements.
* Troubleshoot challenges with empathy and clarity, helping partners and staff work together effectively.
* Develop practical, sustainable financial models to support long‐term partnership arrangements.
* Continuously improve the placement experience, enhancing processes, systems and communications to ensure efficiency, professionalism, quality, and a student‐focused experience.
* Engage with the community through strategic collaboration with key stakeholders, representing Curtin at meetings, forums and industry events, and reporting regularly to School leadership.
* Undertake other duties as reasonably expected to support Curtin's mission of preparing confident, compassionate, and career‐ready teachers.
