What's the role?
Reporting to the Digital Director, this role is responsible for the daily editorial excellence of the Body+Soul digital ecosystem. You will steer our digital assets, including video and social media channels, to deliver exceptional audience growth, engagement and commercial results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commission, edit and curate content for site verticals and social platforms, ensuring we lead the daily wellness conversation while surpassing audience metrics.
* You will deliver best-in-class content concepts, authoritative headlines and compelling features that drive both brand loyalty and revenue for our commercial partners.
* Utilise data-driven insights to refine editorial direction and contribute to high-level strategic planning.
* Oversee the digital production of editorial features, providing senior support for and deputising to the digital team as required.
* As the brand lead responsible for the social media landscape, you will work with the social lead to ensure our content is platform-native, visually arresting and resonates with our community, ultimately driving high-quality referrals back to the brand website.
* Leverage various platforms to source, share and interact with our audience, balancing rigorous journalism with content that is elevated, provocative and entertaining.
* Represent the brand at key industry events and internal meetings.
* Work with precision under tight and exacting deadlines.
Who are you?
* Ideally, you have three to five years of experience in a senior digital role, with a background in health and lifestyle media preferred.
* Content is your passion: you are a specialist with a deep understanding of the tactics required to maximise reach, engagement and brand prestige.
* You are data-led and fluent in analytics, with the ability to translate performance metrics into sophisticated editorial strategies.
* You possess an aesthetic sensibility and understand how to curate content that balances digital performance with the brand's look and feel.
* You are a search specialist who understands that SEO has evolved. You are an expert at crafting content that thrives across the ecosystem, from traditional keyword targeting to Google Discover and emerging search trends.
* You stay ahead of the social curve and know exactly how to spark a reaction and build community. You remain at the forefront of digital trends, social technology and tools that enable us to deepen reader engagement and achieve business goals.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop) and experience within WordPress CMS environments is required.
* You are a sophisticated communicator, able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across commercial, marketing, editorial and product teams.
* You take the initiative to lead a range of projects, manage strict deadlines and work with a high degree of independence.
