Description
We are looking for a talented Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in Engine Repairs for our Service segment in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Diagnose and complete less complex repairs to engines at the customer's site.
2. Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
3. Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
4. Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
5. Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
6. Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
7. Identify additional service opportunities with customers.
8. Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
9. Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
10. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to site management and supervisor.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
11. Australian recognised Trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle)
12. prentice trained engine technician (preferred)
13. Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products
14. Ideally possess engine rebuild and reconditioning experience or knowledge
15. Hitachi, Komatsu & Liebherr experience highly desirable
16. Solid diagnostic capabilities with the help of systems on computers
Qualifications
Cummins engine experience preferred. Ability to work in a team environment and also autonomously. Mining experience preferred. Positive attitude with good work ethic. Competent with Insite, and computer savvy. Good communication and understanding of safety.
